Terms of Service
Effective February 16, 2026
These terms govern your use of MyZipQuest ("the Service"), including our website, Minecraft worlds, activity guides, and beta server. By using the Service, you agree to these terms.
Who Can Use MyZipQuest
MyZipQuest is intended for parents, guardians, and educators who supervise children's use of the product. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, join the waitlist, or purchase a product. Children may use the Minecraft worlds and server only with parental consent and supervision.
The Product
MyZipQuest generates Minecraft Java Edition world files based on real-world geographic data (OpenStreetMap, USGS elevation, Census boundaries). Worlds are approximations — not exact replicas. Building shapes, road layouts, and terrain may differ from reality.
Activity guides are generated content designed to support learning. They are not accredited curriculum and do not replace professional educational assessment.
Beta Server
During the beta period, we operate a shared Minecraft server for testing. By connecting, you agree to:
- Treat other players with respect — no griefing, harassment, or inappropriate language.
- Not share the server address or invite code without permission.
- Accept that the server may be reset, wiped, or taken offline at any time during beta.
We reserve the right to remove any player from the server for any reason. The server is provided as-is during the beta period.
Minecraft & Third-Party Software
MyZipQuest is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Mojang Studios, Microsoft Corporation, or the Minecraft brand. You must own a valid Minecraft Java Edition license to use our worlds. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios.
ESA & Payment
MyZipQuest is designed to qualify as educational curriculum material under Education Savings Account (ESA) programs. However, we cannot guarantee approval by any specific ESA program or marketplace. Families are responsible for verifying eligibility with their ESA administrator.
Intellectual Property
World files and activity guides you purchase are licensed for personal and family educational use. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially publish them. The underlying map data comes from open sources (OpenStreetMap, USGS) and is subject to their respective licenses.
Limitation of Liability
MyZipQuest is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to: inaccurate world generation, server downtime, data loss, or ESA reimbursement issues. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific product in question.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
